Drawing in the Fairy Garden

Drawing in the Fairy Garden | Ekaterina Orlovie

This weekend, Jeremy surprised me with a visit to a gorgeous fairy garden! You can read more about our visit on his blog but I also wanted to quickly share some quick snippets and what I ended up drawing. I sketched a lot of the fairy houses (there were so many!) and flowers. My favorite was this castle that was half covered with wild grass and little daisy flowers – it really looked like it had been there for ages!

My second favorite thing was that this place had such a sense of calm and beauty. The garden artist had created such a magical atmosphere that it was really hard to remember I was in the real world and not a Miyazaki movie. From the colors to the variety of plants and succulents, every corner had details to discover which made it all the more delightful! I hope we get to visit again to see how the fairy garden has changed over time and to relive the magic!Drawing in the Fairy Garden | Ekaterina Orlovie Drawing in the Fairy Garden | Ekaterina Orlovie Drawing in the Fairy Garden | Ekaterina Orlovie Drawing in the Fairy Garden | Ekaterina Orlovie
