Rest & Relaxation

I’m a big believer in taking care of yourself when the going gets tough, mentally and physically. There’s no sucking it up sometimes, you just have to de-stress and let go – the to-do list can wait! Thankfully, the retail gods have granted us a new LUSH location in Rancho Cucamonga and I may have bought (just a few I swear!) things. For me, a very simple recipe for less stress is a spa-at-home evening with some quality books or magazines. I admit, sometimes I do have Netflix on in the background but it’s usually best to unwind without tech distractions that might remind you of work or emails you still need to answer (Confession time: I also Snapchat my bath bombs). To refocus, follow that up with some journaling or meditation. I’m still trying to get the hang of meditation but I’ve been journaling since “Dear Diary” middle school days (which obviously makes me an expert) and I find it’s a great way to process difficult emotions or remind yourself of what a great day you’ve had. Sounds easy right? Hopefully by the time the art walk rolls around I will be nice and relaxed. If not, at least my hair will look good and that’s really half the battle!

Thanks for reading! Now go relax, you only have like 24 hours before it’s Monday again. 🙂
